Build& is led by Sean Hague & Josh Hogan, both founding directors of the business.

Sean Hague

Partner | ACT General Manager

Sean leads Build&’s operations in the Australian Capital Territory, overseeing both the Project Delivery and Procurement service lines. With over 21 years of local industry experience and involvement in projects collectively exceeding $1 billion AUD in value, Sean brings a depth of knowledge that spans all major construction disciplines — from feasibility and planning through to execution and asset handover.

  • Sean holds both trade qualifications and a university degree, and was awarded the Australian Institute of Building (ACT Chapter) Medal in recognition of achieving the highest graduating GPA in his cohort.

    His performance and leadership have been acknowledged through several prestigious industry awards. In 2017, Sean received both the ACT and National Professional Excellence Awards from the Australian Institute of Building (AIB). The following year, in 2018, he was named Project Manager of the Year by the Master Builders Association (MBA) — further solidifying his reputation as one of the industry’s most capable and committed professionals.

    Sean continues to drive value and certainty for Build& clients, applying his strategic insight, stakeholder engagement skills, and delivery excellence across a diverse portfolio of education, commercial, and residential projects.

Josh Hogan

Josh is a Partner at Build& and brings over 15 years of national and international construction experience, with a specialist focus on high-security projects for federal government and defence sector clients. His career is distinguished by the successful delivery of complex, security-sensitive infrastructure, underpinned by deep technical understanding and operational rigour.

  • Prior to joining Build&, Josh served in the Australian Defence Force, where he developed a strong foundation in structured planning, risk mitigation, and disciplined execution — all of which now inform his leadership across capability acquisition and sustainment initiatives.

    Josh’s ability to rapidly assess a project’s status and implement targeted corrective measures is a key asset to Build& clients, particularly where high-stakes outcomes and strict compliance standards are involved. His clear-eyed approach ensures issues are addressed early, risks are managed effectively, and delivery objectives remain in focus.

    Josh holds a Bachelor of Construction Project Management and is known for his practical leadership, strategic thinking, and unwavering commitment to secure and high-performing outcomes.
